Most manufacturers will void the warranty if a new cooker installation was not done by a Gas Safe registered engineer.

We fully commission all new cookers and ensure that safety and ventilation requirements are met so that you can enjoy using your new appliance safely and efficiently. Fitting includes, as appropriate, stability devices, flexible wall connections (bayonet connectors) for free standing gas cookers and range cookers, and also the rigid pipework and isolation valves needed for fitted hobs. All gas cooker installations that we carry out meet manufacturer's instructions, as well as gas safety regulations.

The commissioning process will also ensure that the appliance is working as it should, any safety devices are working correctly, and that there are no gas leaks from the cooker connection or gas pipework.

Installing a new gas cooker involves far more than "connecting a pipe" - if you try to do it yourself then you are potentially putting your life, and the lives or your family in danger.

Gas cookers, ovens and hobs have many advantages over electric. They heat more quickly and precisely than electric - most professional kitchens use gas for cooking as gas stoves are accurate, easily controlled and the heat change is immediate and precise - far more so than any type of electric stove.

If this were not enough of an advantage, gas costs far less than electric per KWh, so the same output gas cooker will be far cheaper to run than an electric one, and save money on your bills each month.
