Chester Gas Fire Servicing:

Gas fires should be serviced at least once a year, and for safety this should always include checking that ventilation is sufficient, and that chimneys are clear and in good working order.

All open flue appliances draw air from the room and it is important to ensure that they remain safe and economical to use. Flue and ventilation problems are major causes of Carbon Monoxide poisoning.

Gas fire servicing is what we do best at Chester Gas.

If your gas fire service is due, then call us now on 07779 646 646 to arrange a service.

A properly maintained gas fire is safe, efficient, clean and economical to use. However, it is important to make sure that you have it serviced and maintained regularly. Dust, fluff and debris from the coals builds up in the fire burner, and the flue may become blocked by bird's nests or other debris, particularly if you don't use it all that often, or it has not been used much over the Summer.

For living flame effect fires, your coals may well be getting old, sooty, grey and tired looking. As part of a fixed-price service, we will clean them up and repaint them if possible, so your fire is back looking its best!

Chester Gas fire repair
If your gas fire stops working, your first thought may be that it has to be replaced. Often though, it can be simple and economical to repair - modern gas fires have safety devices that "fail to safe" and so getting your gas fire working again may be easier than you think.

For the same price as a service we can come out and:
-- diagnose the problem
-- check your flue, ventilation and gas supply
-- repair the fire if possible on that visit
-- advise you of your options if it needs parts or replacement
-- give a discounted rate if we need to return to complete the repair
